NPP plotting to rig election 2024 during special voting – Omane Boamah alleges

Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of planning to manipulate the 2024 elections during the special voting scheduled for December 2.

Dr. Omane Boamah, addressing community members in Otoase within the Ayensuano Constituency as part of his five-day tour of the Eastern Region, emphasized the NDC's commitment to ensuring a transparent election process.

He announced that the NDC would work closely with all security agencies to monitor this year's elections thoroughly.

He also urged Ghanaians to stay vigilant and to assist security personnel in safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process, stressing the importance of collective effort in protecting the nation's democracy.

“Elephant has made up their minds that, they will rig the votes in the upcoming election, they have decided to commence with the rigging of the election on December 2. The special voting is made up of the security agencies, journalists and EC officials.

“The Elephant has made up their minds to take advantage of the period to rig the vote. So we plead for the people of the Ayensuano constituency, as I have been saying throughout the campaign process. Special elections can be rigged so be vigilant.

“The security forces have decided not to allow the NPP to rig the votes in the upcoming election. let’s join forces with the security forces to prevent them from cheating on December 7.”

He however assured the youth that the NDC under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama would abolish the E-levy, Emission Tax Betting Tax and COVID tax and move the country from taxation to production.
