2024 BECE: 3 teachers arrested in Bekwai, 2 invigilators arrested in Bono Region

Five teachers have been arrested in relation to examination malpractices in the ongoing BECE examination taking place across the country.

Three of the teachers were arrested in Bekwai and the other two were invigilators arrested in Bono region.

John Kapi the head of Corporate Affairs at WAEC stated that the teachers that were arrested are currently in the custody of the police.

In his speech he said: 

“As we speak, we have also picked up two teachers from a centre in the Bono Region. They are teachers of some basic schools in the area who also had a link person who was taking some pictures from the examination hall and sending it to them to solve for the children. So they also have been handed to the police.”

According to John Kapi further details of the offense will be communicated to the public later.
