[READ] Chelsea saved by VAR while Manchester City drop points against Aston Villa.


Chelsea saved by VAR to secure all three (3) points at Stamford Bridge during the London derby.


The Premier League match week five (5) kickoff on Saturday 3rd September 2022, it starts with the early kickoff game which is the merseyside derby ( Everton Vs Liverpool) which surprisedly  ended in a goalless draw.


With Chelsea’s current signings every football fan or Journalist would pick them favorites to beat West Ham with ease, but the hammers showed the blues what they are made off. 


Though Chelsea Football Club won the match, they were saved by VAR with few minutes left for the match to end. 


First half of the game end in goalless draw, but seventeen minutes (17) after the break Michail Antonio(West Ham) scored after the ball rebound to him after a melee in the box, and he easily beat the Chelsea goalkeeper to break the deadlock.


Fourteen (14) minutes after the West Ham goal, Ben Chilwell (Chelsea) scored the equalizer to bring the two teams back on level terms. The defender find some space in the box to meet a beautiful cross and fired the ball inside the back of the net.


And in the eighty-eight (88th) minutes Kai Haverts(Chelsea) scored the winning goal for Chelsea, the winger met a perfect cross from Ben Chilwell deep inside the box and controlled it with a nice first touch and he produced an accurate strike inside the left post. 


Here is where Chelsea Football club were saved by VAR. Just two (2) minutes after Chelsea’s second goal, Maxwell Cornet(West Ham) scored an equalizer after he picked up the ball from a rebound and from and from the edge of the box he unleashed a shot into the top right corner.


But he West Ham players halt their celebrations as the referee makes the VAR signal to review the goal, to check whether there was a in the build-up.


And referee shockingly signaled it No GOAL. Due to foul in the build-up play. Which many thought is not true even Journalist but they cannot change the decision so it ends in Chelsea’s favor.
