On Sunday 31st July 2022, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) held a thanksgiving service at the University for Professional Service Accra (UPSA) as part of the party’s anniversary celebration.
It’s the party’ 30th anniversary celebration since it became dominant from 1992 to date, being one of the two dominant political parties in Ghana.However the pastor invited to deliver the sermon is from Christ apostolic church of Ghana.
It’s evident the pastor has waited all his life for this moment, he’s sermon that day got many citizens talking even after the service. The pastor was preaching about how the party need to be united for the betterment of the economy.
The pastor said during his sermon that maybe the wrong person was invited to preach, he continued to say that if the party in power is not united the country will suffer and it seems he is annoying the members of the party by the looks on their faces even the president and that’s what got people talking.
The current president Akufo- Addo and some members of the new patriotic Party (NPP) were presents at the service.
