On Sunday 31st, July, 2022.England defeated Germany in extra time to win the final of the UEFA women’s euro 2022. This two sides are the best when it comes to women football.
England in the semifinals defeated Spain women's team to qualify to the finals whiles Germany also defeated France women"s team to qualify to the final stage.
First half was goalless after so many chances being wasted by both sides. In the second half, Ella Ann Toone scored in the 62nd minutes to put England in the lead but just in the 79th minute Lina Magull equalized for Germany taking the game to extra time.
The first half of the extra time ended in a draw . The second half began and in the 110th minute Chloe Kelly scores the winning goal for the lioness.
England’s Beth Mead won the golden boot with 6 goals and 4 assists. She also won the player of the tournament.
