Fuel prices have been skyrocketing lately and another price increment is about to hit the nation again starting from thursday June 16th 2022.
The price of a litre of diesel is expected to be increased by 11.14%, and petrol will be shot up by 13%.
This is according to data Joy Business got from Bulk Oil Distribution Companies.
Cost of living and inflation will jump up since the increment of fuel prices will result in upward adjustment of transport fares and people are going to be affected massively.
Prices of goods and services will also increase since most businesses depend on transportation in carrying out their business activities.
Fuel prices is expected to go up again after this upcoming increment due to the high cost of refining fuel products.
Government will have to intervene and drop taxes imposed on petroleum products otherwise the nation will continue to be hit by the difficult economic impacts.
