Mtn makes bold statement over recent spike in tariff after a social media rant.
MTN subscribers would have noticed that the network’s prices have recently increased, and on January 4, 2022, introduced new rates of Fibre broadband and TurboNet bundle prices, increasing by nearly 50% with 90 days validity
In an explanation provided the Network via Twitter, it revealed that it desired a very fair competition.
MTN Ghana is simply complying with a regulator’s (Government’s) order to raise their prices in order to compete fairly with other networks.
It explained that;
Kindly note that the changes are a regulatory requirement for MTN to have onnet/offnet parity for all Voice and SMS special plans, promotions and bundles calls. The Regulator is implementing this to enhance competition and growth in the industry. Thank you
